1873 Winchester.
Hate to admit it, but an early Savage 99 in a classic caliber. Probably 300 Savage or 250/3000. High tech back in the day.
They are stupidly expensive now, wished I had bought one when they were unknown/unappreciated.
Also always liked the BLR in .308.
Would not mind a cowboy lever action repro in common caliber with a revolver. Either .41 Mag or .45 Long Colt. (But I'm just weird that way )
I have wanted a lever gun in 357 for years. Trying to find the best one for me has been my hold up.

I would love to have a stainless lever gun in .44 mag with a 16 inch barel to pair with my S&W 629. I do not own a lever gun and haven't found the mfg of the above spec. Any recommendations?

I have heard they put together some good lever actions, but have no personal experience.

You can teach ANYONE to shoot with one of those.
Nothing puts a smile on my face more than running a handful of rounds through mine. Just a fun rifle to shoot.
I was hope you would get a chance to have that exact visit. I'm glad to read you both got a chance to wander by his shop.
