    Sig P228 Question

I just bought a NIB P228R. Is it possible to get a P229 threaded barrel and use in in the P228?

I don't believe so. The P229 was was designed for .40 and .357 Sig and I think the barrels are larger in diameter that the P228 barrels are.

Yes, the P228 and P229 9mm barrels are identical in specifications and share the same factory part number.

I owned a P228 for several years and Khanrad is correct. A SIG P229 9mm barrel will fit perfectly in your P228's slide and interface perfectly with your locking block.

Sweet thanks. I wanted to make sure before I bought the barrel. Who has the best pricing on sig threaded barrels?

under9 - I would check out Top Gun Supply for Sig threaded barrels. I bought a factory threaded barrel for my P226 from them and they stock pretty much every OEM part imaginable for the Sig.
Second place earns a body bag.
