This. If eotech can make a 1moa with that shortass optic, then aimpoint can find a way to make a 2moa with the T1

Different projector technology, so those comparisons between Aimpoint and Eotech don't work...optical collimation/reflex vs. holographic projection. IIUC, the length of the T-1 barrel dictates the size of the dot.

I'd be tickled pink if Aimpoint came out with clear lens covers...

It does. They use the same emitter as in the 4MOA Comp-series optics.

Comparing the two doesn't fit. Lasers are light, so they follow the same rules as less-collimated light, but the similar effects are seen at markedly different distances even before you start tossing pattern generators and the like.

Apples to applesauce. May taste the same, but one sits on the table while maintaining its shape, the other makes a puddle.

I'm waiting on a T-1 with a bright, daylight ivsible green dot. Other than that I'll keep the 4 T/H-1's currently used, abused, and left on.

I buy from distributors, have decades of experience, and know when prices are dropping on a product that has been on the market for a couple of years, they send you constant notices about the pricing, it only means one thing. Does not matter if it is a T-1 or an iPhone or a Sony TV.
