So my guess is that it is the WC rail.

Or maybe they just don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet. That's the first I've ever seen of this so obviously LMT has been keeping it quiet. I'm not saying you're wrong Grant, just that I still think it's an MRP, LMT just doesn't want people to know it yet. If that is what we all think it is, that's some of the most winning awesome sauce I've seen in a while. I will have to obtain one... after I build up a Remington 5R.

There's far too many similarities to say that this isn't an MRP upper. It could be a custom piece but I'm doubtful judging by the market trend for "slick" uppers.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is stumped on this one. Whatever it is I would sure like one.

it doesnt look like the WC rail linked to me.

the 'trim' holes are much closer together on the WC rail and the openings between the rails are single large holes in the above pic vs staggered smaller holes.

I didn't send my e-mail in to just a random person at LMT. I was told the truth.

My guess is that, if anything, that rail got machined down by someone OTHER THAN LMT.

Well, there is another way to get to the bottom of this. I know Barry and have fired him off a message about it.

There is a clue in the other pictures. Note all the silver along the rail sides in the last two pictures.

Well, whoever worked on that MRP did a fantastic job. I wish LMT would consider a project like that.

It's two different MRPs with the rails shaved down.

Some pictures show the 5.56 MRP before the rails were shaved, and it looks like what is advertised. Others show the same 5.56 MRP with the rails shaved down and painted.

Another is a 308 MRP... those pictures are the ones where you can see the bare metal.

It states plainly on his profile that the MRP is his platform of choice.

Yep, his .308 has clearly been milled down.
