Long time reader who posted several substantive comments years ago on various topics when my son was about to deploy. But recently I have not felt that I had much to contribute as an old guy whose war was years ago and current experience is not detailed. Lots of times somebody else said it before me and much better than I could. I have been suspicious of those with high post counts -- how many of those comments contained real content? Some of those high post count guys have a lot of important thoughts, but some are just "me too" without much more.

New member here. I currently work an LE job at a large department. I used to be a range officer and a 68W before that.

I appreciate the knowledge base regarding technical aspects regarding firearms and firearm-related topics that the members of this forum possess.

I am a long time lurker, and I have learned more about the AR platform on this site than I ever have from Marine boot camp X 1000! I have never felt the need to chime in because I'm a big believer in the, "Read more, post less" mantra. If I have a question or post something which would be helpful or constructive, I will certainly do so!
