Shit like that pisses me off.
I live in a town (family been here for a couple generations too) with a VNG firing range, I used to wake up to the artillery every saturday morning. I never minded and I kind of liked it. Then all of a sudden more and more out of staters move in, and start complaining, it comes up at town meeting, petitions, etc. They moved here with this establishment already in place! They nolonger do arty but they still complain about small arms fire. Same shit is happening with people moving by the airports and complaining about fly times. Pisses me off like no other. If you dont like it, do your ****ing homework before you move, dont expect everything to change for you once you start paying taxes.

Good for that farmer. I even get calls when I am shooting on my land, but of course If I mention making suppressors legal to stop noise pollution people freak out. Some people will never be satisfied until the earth stops just for them

We have a lot of pig farms here in NC also. No big deal really. However, if that happened to me not only would I have Friday night pig races but I would open up a BBQ/Breakfast Buffet and have all sorts of sausages, bacon, pork chops, pulled pork BBQ, fried fatback etc on the menu. I'd be cooking those pigs out back on great big cookers/smokers.

My family has lived on this farm since 1834.... 3 years before the county was even a county, and 4 years before there was even a town in this county. We have cattle, hogs, and horses. The neighbor about 20 years ago was going bankrupt, we bought what ground we could, and the rest has been developed. We had some asshole city **** come complain that the smell was bad and that he was going to the county council.... Council tried to shut us down, but when we proved in court that we were literally here first, before any of the rest of the asshples around here, the court ruled in our favor.... We counter sued for losses and won that as well....

The same people tried to say we were "blowing things up" over here... My dad and I are both in the county sheriff dpt reserves, and when the neighbors called, naturally the cops have to come.... But they already knew we have our own range out to 450, so the cops that came brought their guns and we did some shooting, cops told the neighbors, sorry it's private property and they can shoot all they want, if u don't like it we suggest moving to town.

Needless to say, the neighborhood is quite nice now that the morons have moved and it's full of friendly folks.... For the most part.
