    Safariland 6004 Question

Anyone know if the Safariland 6004 made for a G19 will fit a G17(without a light)?
    Thanks,
    Dave

If it won't you can cut off about 1/4" off the bottom of the body of the holster or use a heatgun and get it really hot and install the G17 to stretch it out.

That's what I was thinking. The bottom of the holster it tapered pretty good.

I would recomend the 6004 for the 17 and put the 19 in it. I have one for the g 19 and put my 19/26 in it w/o issues sans the light. I also run a 6004 for the 21 w/ a light. I can fit a g17 w/light(just tested a freinds to see if it fit), g 19 w/light, and of course the 21 w/ light. and g30 wo/light

So if I buy the 6004 for a G17- the 19 should fit no problem (I don't care about the extra length, I just need the versatility)?

A G17 6004 will fit both (my 19 is in a 17 holster right now on my hip), but the G19 6004 is too short for a 17. The 17 model will give you the most versatility.

Sweet, that was the answer I was looking for.

Yep. That's the beauty of the Glock design. Even a G26 will fit into a G17 holster.

9/40/357 guns are the same frame and slide dimensions. 10MM and 45 ( with the exception of the 36) will are the same dimensions. The only issue you will run into is if the holster is closed on the end.
