And that is where I come down on this issue. Respect is earned, not given. When individual officers behave like this, it makes it harder on the rest of us.
What you quoted was me trying to sound smart/funny. Obviously I'm not as smart/funny as I think I am.
What I meant by "job security issues" is that we would probably be fired if we acted in this manner while in uniform. I am not necessarily saying that I want this officer fired. Just saying that would be a definite possibility up here.
If the state owns it then it is public.
Isn't that spelled necked? Naked? Something like that. The one time I got caught the cop was angling to get him a piece. I'd a told her to give him some if I had really believed he was going to take us to jail. Since I was 17, I wasn't too skeered of going to jail. That was not my wife, that was long before I met her, just for the record.
I work for a public agency, drive their vehicle. Man, I sure would hate to have to explain something like this to my boss. But then, I don't have the luck this dick-head has. It would be a trick doing it on the top of my vehicle, it's a Ford van. I'd have to use a ladder. They would probably bust me for not using proper fall protection. We're supposed to use a fall harness if we are working more than five feet off the ground. I wonder if they would regard screwing as work? That would look funny, screwing in a harness. That and a hard hat, safety shoes and glasses. I might just get by with it........with proper PPE of course.
My wife says if I do it, it better be with her. But she's a public school teacher. Raises a whole new set of issues. I don't know how the District would view one of their Kiddiegarden teachers screwing on the top of a city van.

Not necessarily. Public property is not the same as "in public" or "public view" depending on the local definition. Issues of if someone should reasonably expect that the area was open to public view or to public traffic enter into account. This the latest I've seen:

Unless the female was a victim here the only offense would likely be a variation of "lewd conduct", which in this case would hinge on the "public place" issue.SANTA FE, N.M. — He's in uniform and apparently on duty. But New Mexico State Police said the officer caught on camera having sex with a woman on the hood of a car did not commit a crime.
Security camera photographs of the encounter at the remote county-owned Canyon Ranch near Santa Fe, N.M., surfaced several weeks ago. The images were initially sent to state police by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department and an internal investigation was started.
State police spokesman Tim Johnson said the investigation has been completed and the case is currently in the disciplinary process. He said investigators don't believe any criminal acts occurred but that the officer will be held accountable for his actions.
It looks like the dept is going to get him on a policy violation.
LMAO!
This guy is an idiot. As a cop you always look for atleast obvious signs of a video camera before you do something.... nevermind.
So an officer was caught banging a broad on the hood of a vehicle in the daylight while in uniform. Who cares if he is on or off duty. It is unprofessional.
If he is near a building with security cameras, is it unreasonable to think that he is in an area where a person could see him and that people could possibly be in the area?
I would consider it in public.
If the dept doesnt reprimand him i will be surprised.
I have also caught people screwing in vehicles. I just tell them to go somewhere else, not in a parking lot of Outback Steakhouse where i can see the car shaking from the middle of the road at a red light.
Seriously though, this guy has some really poor judgment.
Check this out, almost as rich as a LEO getting him a piece on duty!
I knew a Jacksonville cop back in the early '80s who got caught In flagrante delicto with a 15 or 16 year old in the back of the his cop car. The girl's mother blackmailed him and his buddies had to pass the hat to get however much cash together to buy her off. It gets better. He kept it up and got caught again. Had to pass the hat again. I don't remember how much money it was but it was a lot.
The 70's-80's were orders of magnitude different from what you see today...bars INSIDE police departments...envelopes with bribe money arriving at the front desk for officers. Cops eating guns vs facing the FBI. People may doubt it, but our cops are angels these days in comparison.
NO DOUBT!
People think cops are brutal today, FUUUUCK, the shit they used to do back in the day (based on a whole lot of stories from people i believe) makes the rodney king pin'ata party look a pillow fight!
All these people screaming like bitches after getting tased is a ****ing act. That shit doesnt hurt. I have lost count of how many times i been tased and its not that bad. we all laugh after they shut it off cuz it doesnt hurt!
Rosewood hurts and a leather belt hurts, my dad would just tap me on the head with that rose wood and blister my ass with that belt that ****ing hurt! I deserved every ass woopin i got from my parents and i am better person for it and will continue it with kids if they get out of line.
