"It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner."
Who knows? Depends on ammo, buffer weight, bolt carrier etc. Unsuppressed would probably be unreliable regardless of circumstances.
But it should be ideal for 100% suppressed.
I have a setup being built right now. I just need to wait for the barrel work and I'll get some pics up.
Its going to be a 10.5" with small gas port and a Centurion 9" rail.
Question: Will a shaved FSP fit underneath Centurion rails?

Why do the loudest do the least?
.062'' port should run full power 5.56mm ammo, FA Carrier, H buffer, and standard power spring without issue.
Suppressed, and unsuppressed.
Also, above poster was right. The compensator acts as a baffle.

This info is very valuable, I am amazed at how much I learn from day to day just by dropping in here. Never knew pretty much any of this stuff about gas port size, and supressors...
Thanks guys,
Managed to get a good shot to illustrate this point of the sacrificial blast baffle. This is a Brakeout on a 10.5" Noveske Switchblock upper with a M4-2k (I got the Brakeout as the Brakes were sold out everywhere at the time, and I didn't have the patience to wait). I think this is around 1500 rounds. The blast baffle on the M4-2k is still pretty clean, just have to figure out how to get a good photo of it...

My brake doesn't look that bad yet but it is starting to show. I switched to the brake as soon as it came out on my 10.5" gun and run it on my MK18 upper as well. I just need one for my SPR/M4 and life will be good.
10.5 with a Suppressor for Home Defense, Carbine Classes, Hunting.
7.5 PDW for stowing in the car.

Anyone know the GP size LMT uses on their 14.5" barrels, or whether the MRP and Standard barrels use the same gp?
I've been thinking for quite a long time about chopping a 14.5" MRP barrel down to 11.5" and leaving the gas port as is...Then maybe throw in their enhanced carrier to further help with function and cleaner cycling with a suppressor.
I'm not sure whether this would require the enhanced carrier or not.
