The above is how I feel. I have had work done at ADCO in the past and have been pleased with the work in general. I also know from personal experience (on two separate occasions) that the owner can go from 0 - complete dousch bag in 2 seconds flat. Definitely some anger management issues.

I still don't see how a canted FSB could happen with a change of the hand guard.

The barrel nut had to be removed to change the handguards on his rifle. If the barrel nut was over torque, not properly greased, or a general lack of attention to detail, the barrel extension could have rotated slightly in the reciever while installing the new barrel nut.

The barrel nut is threaded on to the receiver, not barrel extension which is held straight in the receiver by the indexing pin.

I understand that, however the friction between the face of the barrel extension and the inner face of the barrel nut can be high enough to force the index pin to the left side of the locating slot in the reciever. If torqued hard enough it can force the index pin to distort the slot or the pin. Thus allowing for an out of alignment FSB.

Ask the folks on lightfighter how they feel about ADCO. This aint the first time I've seen something like this from them on the interwebs.
