FYI to all. BCM has agreed to take a look at the OP's upper even though someone else did the work. Let's wait for some action on this.

i had the same thing happen to mine and its an two piece quad rail so mine didnt have to be removed but the gun smith insisted it did so in the process bent my gas tube so my rail was crooked when it was seated. i didnt notice this probem till i was cleaning it and looked at the vertical grip. with that being such an easy fix that is totslly unacceptable.

Just wanted to say thanks to all those that replied and like IG said, Bravo company has agreed to take a look and inspect the upper. This type of customer service really says a lot about what kind of company BCM is and how they operate.

Could you please describe this proceedure for me? I've never boresighted an AR that I removed the barrel on.

The discussion was about boresighting an AR (that has no optic on it) after swapping the barrel.

So the question remains, how is that done?

You set the barreled upper on a rest and sight down the bore at a fixed point then you look through the sights to see where they lay in relation to that point.

    ***UPDATE***
Bravo Company agreed to look at the upper even though it was worked on by someone else. It arrived today repaired and good as new. I'm still not sure what exactly happened to it but BCM made it right. Customer service is A+ in my book. They went above and beyond what's expected of them. I can't say enough good things about them.
