I'm looking for help ID'ing this rifle, to me its looks like a German Karabiner 98k but I'm not sure. Hoping some people on here might have some ideas.

Looks more like a Turk Mauser. They bought a bunch of pre-M98 rifles and then later "upgraded" to 8mm Mauser and add on other features through the years, kind of like how the Air Force is still using ancient M16 receivers with upgraded barrels and uppers.
From the rear sight forward, that's not a K98, and the rear sight is not the roller coaster rear of the GEW98 from WWI. Could possibly be a Persian Mauser as well.
