For SS, I use Noveske and for chrome lined, I use either Noveske, LMT or Colt.

Thank you! Do you know if Noveske offers cryo?

I suck at shooting, so a standard LMT and XM-193 works for my purposes.

Wouldn't a 1-10 or 1-9 twist be better? I realise that under 200m the 36-45gr stuff is moving faster, but at real "vermint hunting" ranges like 200+m (where a barrel like a Wilson vs. a normal one would start to even be worth considering) the 50+gr stuff is going to have more velocity.

    JMHO based on ballistic tables.

So what it comes down to is if you want accuracy, go SS. If you want longevity, go CM/CL.

Paint can be Krylon, KG, Cerakote, Ionbond, Melonite, etc.

QPQ is more than just a "paint". It alters the base metal. Can this be done to stainless? If so, +1 for Melonite QPQ. Gotta love the Glock finish whether or not you have any love for the pistol. Tough as nails!

Just purely for mechanical accuracy the bbl is very important.

Things get more complicated when you add silly things like a shooter. The human factor always screws things up.

To help the human factor, a good trigger may be the most important. Good optics are important too. I like the ACOG. The main thing is that you are able to see the target well and apply the fundamentals of marksmenship.
