I was going to replace the whole trigger group to start, but I decided to try to smooth out (and thin out) the disconnector to see if it would do anything. I polished the sides and took off any sharp points. I did not touch the hook that engages the hammer. I fired 4 mags (all suppressed) this evening with no malfunctions. I will have to do some more shooting to see if that was it, but I was getting the problem one or two times per mag and sometimes three times. All this shooting was done with the same lot of XM193. I will probably order a few disconnectors, but I do want to put an SSA trigger in it. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

    Jk

I test for disconnector over-travel with a rawhide mallet. A glancing blow across the cocked hammer with the trigger to the rear will tell on those intermittent and unpredictable hammer drops or doubles.

It just doesn't matter... Might be a good time to lock this thread. Tweak"er" just put it into the twilight zone.

My handle was never Tweaker, it's been Tweak since '98. My email addy is ARtweaker and back when TOS was just a mailing list that is the genesis of my handle.
