In your experience are these barrels any better than any standard 1/9 barrel?

I do think Colt makes better barrels than say Bushmaster or other companies....

The 6922 rifles I think are under appreciated as a lot of people aren't aware they were made. So if anything I see them as slightly more desirable from a collectibilty standpoint than a 1/7 6920. However I was having a conversation today in a local gunshp about collectibilty and Colt rifles and we both agreed it is a slim market (hence one reason I'm not ponying up the $2900 for the 1964 SP1 I saw recently....a lot of coin for what many see as simply an "outdated" AR)

That and I have to think from a general useage standpoint the 1/9 twist is more effective, with a broader range of ammo than 1/7. I would love to see some concrete data on ballistics and the affects of 1/9 vs 1/7 on soft tissue. IMO 1/7 is great for paper accuracy, but I wonder whether it is the best for the intended purpose of the rifle in the first place..

Does anyone have any actual data on this stuff?
