    SS, I've given thought to picking up some castoff countertop or solid-core wood door slab, and cabinets, with which to build something very similar to yours. How much front overhang do you have on that?

    It's only got an overhang of about 2". The countertop and cabinets came from a dr's office that was remodeling. My ex's grandma worked for the dr and when I bought the house he said we could come pick through the old stuff for free. And the nice big industrial shelving was left by the previous owners.

    All my bench tops and work table are cut from industrial fire-rated wood doors that were getting pitched in a hospital remodeling project.
