Rifle club at WestCoast armory this Friday 9/23?

I plan to go check it out, is the club meeting this Friday?

They do it every week I'm pretty sure. I may check it out too, haven't been there in awhile. It gets really crowded.
Get there a little early and get your name on the list of shooters, there can be some serious waits when it's crowded.

I've been looking into going to this (and Tuesday night pistol) for a while now. I've never shot competition before. Do you recommend I come watch first before participating?

It depends on your experience. If you have drawn and fired from the holster before, you should be fine at pistol league. If it's your first time there, just go slow. Its kinda the same for rifle league, you may want to practice rifle-pistol transitions a little bit beforehand.
Rifle league has a lot of attendance from tos crowd, there's a huge thread on the wahtf forum called fnrl, it has some good info for newcomers.
