    CZ82s

So, for some reason, I have really been looking into ordering a CZ82 through a C&R holder that I know (my father). I keep hearing that they work great. As a lefty I also like the ambi thumb safety. I don't know that this would be something that I would carry...but who knows...I may end up really liking the little bastard.

I did some searching and found this holster set-up

Anyone here have any complaints about their CZ82? Anyone actually carrying an old CZ82 or used this brand of holster?

    Thanks, guys.

I purchased a CZ82 about 2 years ago. I refinished it using Alumahyde II. It is fun to shoot and handles hps fine.

Currently my wife uses it as a kitchen pantry gun. She's a stay at home mom with two preschoolers.

As I said it shoots great and is accurate but is an outdated design. It is about the size of a Glock 19 but heavier and shoots a less potent catridge.

I have been considering refinishing as well...

You wouldn't happen to have any pictures would ya? What color did you choose, how did you do it, etc....

They are neat relics of the Cold War, but that's an awful lot of work to go to to carry a pocket pistol caliber in a gun the same size as a Glock 19 or M&P Compact.

They are nice. Trigger is stiff as is the safety. Recoil is stouter than one would expect, kinda like a slap. FUN to shoot. My buddy used one as his "traveling" pistol JIC it got stolen in his luggage. There worse ways to spend $200.

I had one for a short while. It worked fine, was accurate enough and the trigger was heavy but acceptable. I got rid of it because the recoil was worse than a small 9mm. I didn't see the point in a gun that had less power but more recoil.

My thoughts exactly, Templar. You're right about them being "neat". I think that's my main attraction to them. Well, thanks for taking the time to respond, guys.

Hell, I suppose I might as well go ahead and buy one. It's just money, right?

Looks like Travis Haley uses a CZ82 to impressive effect in a few of the pistol drill videos on his blog. Not sure what holster he is using - perhaps Raven concealment?

I love the CZ82! 12+1 of .380 beats most comparably sized pistols. It's a solid but heavy little sucker and is amazingly accurate. I spruced mine up with a Duracoat and night sites. It's a great compliment to my Saiga 12.
