Successful entrepeneurs contribute so much more than they take or "use" from "society" it's not even funny to think there are "educated" people who don't get it.

Drive into Orlando some time and think about it.

But they don't get it because they have an agenda, and the weak and envious just lap it up.

We've understood this dynamic since Aristotle.

I have lived in orlando most of my life. If it was not for entrepeneurs this town would just be a cow pasture !!

Disney,Lockheed Martin, and many others have been here for many years and created so many jobs which then created home, retail, and entertainment biz all over the place.

Yeah, I guess they don't contribute anything ??

and A Duda & Sons. Aside from the .gov contracts, these companies were successful without a .gov policy, just like oil, rail, and automobiles. I really shouldnt be surprised that these "proletariat advocates" no nothing of monetary policy or industry.

shes a complete idiot for the following reasons:

    1) the govt is only able to provide those services because there is someone producing to be able to tax.

    2) some business getting taxed 40% is getting those services...fine. So by this token if a business paid 0% taxes they would get none of these services. You know what a business can do with that extra 40%, they could have a firetruck on the property full time, they could hire a private army practically for security. So that point is moot that they wouldnt have police/fire protection. If I was a business and had the option to pay 0% taxes to forego these services I would do it in a heartbeat.

    3) Marauding bands? Govt is the marauder, taking 40% of your income. This is just like govt stealing your money and then claiming its there to help you. Only govt can protect you from marauding bands?

    4) Keep a big hunk of it? What the hell does she mean by this? What is a big hunk, again these socialists will never answer the question of how much a business owner should pay % wise in taxes.

    Underlying social contract, eh?

What about the people who refuse to work, pay no taxes, but demand and receive gravy train "benefits"? Are they factored in anywhere?

When do they pay their fair share, or get some skin in the game? These folks have to eat their peas too, ya know.

She is absolutely right. There is an underlying social contract. We call it The Constitution of the United States of America. Perhaps we need to pay more attention to it.
