    Rear BUIS, sighting in

Just curious if this is normal or is something off on the upper. I've never had to adjust the irons this far over to sight in at 100 yards.

That's not too bad for aftermarket sights. You still have windage left. I'd go with it.

Just a guess, but I'd say your front sight isn't square on the rail, or your rail isn't square with the receiver. The result would be that your front sight is canted a little to the left.

See Hmac I thought the same thing. I installed a flip up gas block sight on another upper and it was crooked and had the same problem till I lined up the gas block with the rear buis and made it all straight.

I figure everything should be straight on this one, it's a custom build from Wes at MSTN.

Makes me wonder if the rail is bent, or if the sight is messed up, or are a lot of peoples rear buis like this. I've never had one like this, so I figured I'd post up and ask.

Have you contacted him about your concerns? That's the proper thing to do first, before you name a company....and it's also a site rule here.

Yeah I contacted him through emails. I'm not bad mouthing, nor do I have complaints against him. This is my second upper from MSTN. He responded quickly, and answered my questions. I also even contacted Troy, but I have not heard back from them.

I just posted on here, to see what other people had to say, and to see if this is common when sighting in the rear buis.

Have you tried a different BUIS, or red dot with existing BUS set up - see if it is it off as well?
Just an idea. That way you can be sure i's not you....

Mine is now - after I straightened the front sight....
Used to look like yours - only the opposite direction.

Some guns are close to mechanical zero but some are 5 or so clicks off.

I think the Mil "spec" is no more than 10 or 12 clicks either direction. I've seen this before with those Troy sights. I don't know that it is the sights, but this type of question has been posted on the forums before, and they happened to be those troys.
