    No!!!

My started thread was the G2S vs. SSA (not -E)

After looking into the SSA further I started reading more on the SSA-E and wanted to know more about those side by side ... meaning the SSA vs SSA-E (not the side by side thread I created for the G2S vs. SSA)

So I did a search and found this thread and it was old and didn't have all the info I wanted so instead of creating another one I bumped this to get more info (you know like everyone gets so pissy about and tells guys to do!!!)

You get pissed on for for not using search and then get pissed on for using it and bumping a thread.

I do thank you though for helping and the replies in the other threads though ... I am just trying to get as much info as I can can to make an informed decision ... it;s not like it's a cheap milspec trigger .. I like to know what I am getting into and what is what when it a tiny trigger for like 150-200 bucks you know.

First, Mistwolf is my homie and a good contributor to M4C. Please don't disrespect the man by bolding your words and using argumentative tones.

Second, I think the issue really lies in that you have created at least 5 "THIS VS THAT" threads in the last week and now you're bumping 4 year old threads. You have admittedly fired zero rounds through your weapon. There was a member here who wasn't very accepted at times, but he heeded his own advice. His name was Rob, and his advice was to Go Shoot The Gun.

This forum has a very simple formula that has been time tested for almost a decade. Buy a Colt 6920. This is the base model AR15 that everyone should start out with in a perfect world. It's reliable, quality, and will fire every time you pull the trigger. Once you get a few thousand rounds through it you'll know what type of trigger you need - what type and length handguard you want - what type of light and where you want it placed. These answers don't come from internet message boards, but from personal experience which is partly why threads like the ones you've been making are quite pointless.

docsherm, for example, is constantly riding in vehicles and his weapons and gear reflect that.
a0cake is a no foolin' US Army sniper, and his weapons and accessories reflect that.
markm shoots steel at ranges of like 4000 yards with 11.5" SBRs and super sweet handloads.

We can't tell you what will work best because we don't know what you'll be doing with it or even how you use it. We can just tell what we use, and if you're taking advice from a0cake, docsherm, markm, me, or anyone else you're getting advice that was learned based on our individual experiences only.

Finally, Go Shoot The Gun. I'm sure Geisselle and all of these accessory manufacturers enjoy having you throw money at them but you'll never truly know what you want on your weapon until you have hours and hours of hands on experience with it.

A search on YouTube will give you the info you are looking for straight from Geissele himself.

One of the best posts I've ever read. Excellent message, both in content and tone. Thanks!

I have much to say but I'll go ahead and move on I guess.

And thanks for the advice on the Colt but this is not my first AR, just looking for advice on all things new going into this new AR build is all. I own that starter type AR15 already and have put plenty of rounds downrange with my M&P15 Sport ... So this is not my first rodeo But it is my second and during this rodeo I was just wanting to learn more about the things that are new to me (products, brands, quality, vs. type info) that I'm not totally familiar with is all. I wasn't looking for anyone to tell me what works best for 'me' ... just more what everyone's own experience is with these products side by side etc. ... that just helps me learn much more about this stuff and help me make a more informative decision (this stuff aint cheap and I would like to get it right the first time is all). I would love to go Just Shoot, but It's not done, this is why I wanted some advice to help get it done and I can 'go shoot' and stop asking questions!

Thanks guys for the help ... I have decided on which trigger I will be going with in my new build.

Just trying to learn as much as I can and ask questions is all, I'll refrain from this next time as much as I can.

Thanks again, I have received tons of very much needed feedback in all my threads that has helped a ton.

I actually thought it was the kind of post that gives M4C the bad rep and seemed pretty prideful to me. IMO would have been handled much better in a private message to the offending "this vs. that" poster. I own 2 SSA's and a HSNM-DMR. I have always picked the SSA for the pull weight. And I don't claim to be an expert but I don't believe the second stage break can be adjusted much with a spring like the first stage can. I have always been curious if I was missing something by not getting the SSA-E so it is nice to get others opinions. I don't disagree that you need to train with your weapon of choice and get as much experience with your rifle as possible. Good for you if you have spent alot of time "in theater" (gag) or have an unlimited ammo and training budget. Even during the six years I was on the tactical team at my department we had no such thing. These forums exist for folks who don't have the funds for trial and error equipment selection.

You don't need 2000 rounds through your AR to know the standard milspec trigger feels like it is riding on sand or grit in your lower and as a result, know you want something better.

With all due respect, posting the same question in four or five different threads defeats the purpose. It spreads the answers around, invites redundancy and makes expounding on important points difficult.

Now, let's get back on topic before this thread turns completely sour
