“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
I haven't been able to submit the new barrel to much of a "tortune test" but I've been pleased with what I've experienced so far. The gun runs well with Tula and Wolf steel cased ammo and it also shoots pretty well with better stuff. I took it out to the range this last weekend and fired a few rounds of Fiocchi 77gr SMK ammo through it. Several three round groups at 200 yards hovered around two inches and I fired an eight round group into just a tad under three inches off the bench. Not stellar bench-type accuracy but certainly not terrible and more than good enough for the gun's intended use. Plus I'm still running the stock (aka heavy) trigger group which doesn't help with tight groups.

Here's a cell phone picture of my eight round group from 200 yards.
As ammo again starts to come available I'll continue to experiment with various loads to see how the new barrel does with a variety of stuff.
