A 7" rail on a 16" barrel isn't my cup of aesthetic tea. If I'm paying for it, I'd like it to look good. And for those of us that are on the right side of the median height curve, they're not very functional.
But I'm glad to see that more enthusiasts are realizing- myself included after owning some after all these years- that Colt makes great ARs. Afghanistan will eventually wind down and Colt probably recognizes that with their improvements for the commercial channel.

Clyde's Colt 6720 comes with (2) 20rd PMAGs as well; but I think that's something special they negotiated.
I respectfully disagree. I think that Colt's MIL offerings should drive their marketing, instead of the MOE (and similar) formulas that everyone else is using. Colt could probrably sell the hell out of:
- M4 SOPMOD Block I Clone
- M4 SOPMOD Block II Clone
- M16A2 Clone
- M16A4 Clone
- MK18 Clone (NFA)
They may be able to get good enough volume deals from Daniel Defense, KAC, etc. to make the above happen at a really good price point as well.

I'm the same way. I like Magpul stocks and handguards but I've found the MOE is too thick for me to operate the safety without changing my grip. I've changed all my stuff back to the A2. It works just fine for me....
Sounds like Colt is starting to listen to the market. That's a great thing. They will get it "right" eventually.
While I agree they should be pushing the above(with the m4 sopmod guns being offered in 14.5 nfa and 16 inch normal) I think they should really be going for both. The magpul setup the did was is a pretty solid one. I think they should be going for any sale they can. Really you want to dive out in both directions.
I wish they would sell the 20 inch uppers with gi barrel profiles though(or complete rifles). That would be on my short list as I want to get a a2 style one. Really by the time they ever get around to it chances are I'll have built it using another companies parts.
