    - M4 SOPMOD Block II Clone
    - M16A2 Clone
    - M16A4 Clone
    - MK18 Clone (NFA)

They may be able to get good enough volume deals from Daniel Defense, KAC, etc. to make the above happen at a really good price point as well.
While I agree with you that the midlength is overblown and only a small segment of the market anyway, and that going all-MOE doesn't really set them apart, AND that the replicas would probably sell, I'd like to see them do more. Replica guns, to me, are pointless beyond the collector market. I think Colt could sell the hell out of an M4 replica gun with Aimpoint M4 and KAC rail, etc. but it would be to the wall-hanger market I think.

First off I agree their would be a lot of wall hangers in the mix. That being said the gun say without the optic to keep cost down is something I see people buying as a good kit that they could run hard.

My 10.5 is pretty much a mk18 clone with the sopmod stock, lmt rear sight, kac rail and aimpoint. It has the ergo grip, larue front grip, and larue index clips on it though as I prefer them over the stock setup. It is far from a wall-hanger and happens to be very dirty right now. The sopmod is on it because I tried one when I built an ar-10 and fell in love. The rail was cheap and I didn't have to remove the front sight to install it. I had the aimpoint on another gun and moved it to it.

I think one ready to go would sell well with people who wanted to use them. It might sell well for reserve soliders buying a close replica to what they carry so they can practice.

You may want to check your remaining inventory on these.

I heard from a friend that a NIB Colt 6920MP-B he just picked up was marked "M4 Carbine CAL 5.56MM" and not "Sporter M4" without cal markings as they were previously.

If this is the case for all the 6920MP-B's after a certain serial number range, I suspect a major run on them as it would absolutely be the most desirable rollmark Colt has ever produced. (Not to mention no LE markings.)

Well, it's true. I just held one. They look great. Perhaps after a certain serial number they are marking them this way and G&R's are below that number?

Here's one for sale (no association to this guy): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=255000517

The above roll marks are correct (just looked at a few).

This is the same roll mark that appears on the commercial/LE select fire guns.

I had been leaning away from a new carbine length for my next AR but if Grant gets a 6920 with that rollmark, it will make its way to my hot little hands quickly.

I have seen a lot of these Colt SP6920MP-B rifles and they all have this rollmark.
Really glad to be done with MSAR.

Buy the 6920MP and sell off the Magpul items you do not want OR, we can remove the Magpul items and put the standard 6920 furniture on if you like.
