Essentially the NAACP and the KKK agree on a fundamental point, and that is all blacks are somehow "different" and that they conform to a defined "standard" by virtue of their skin pigment. And so long as people subscribe to notions like a "black community" there will be some truth to it.
Would almost be funny if it wasn't so pathetically sad. In a real sense it is now the "black community" that prevents your average black man from knowing real freedom.
Hopefully in the next generation or two they will simply begin to live as free men rather than "black men" according to someones stipulations of what that is.
I'm just glad I don't wake up worrying about if I'm wearing acceptable "white person" clothes or doing "white person" things. If I had to live in accordance to the standards of the local people who I share a similar skin pigment with, I might get drunk and rob a bank too.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.
