Police to Shut Down Occupy Wall St?

At some point, do you think the local authorities will move to shut down these various 'Occupy' protests around the country? How do you see that playing out? Or, do you think they will just wait for winter to come? In NYC it is costing them millions in OT to manage the situation.

Leave them be, and reduce the police presence.

Would the use of Pinkertons be out of the question? By the Wall Street firms, not by the government....

    LOL

I don't think a little gas and water cannons would be too much to assist in dispersing said travellers!

If sanitary conditions continue to get worse I think they would have a public safety case to disperse them.

But I don't think it should be done just because they don't want people protesting.

Me either -- from a government side only.

I would fully sympathize with the Wall Street firms not wanting them protesting, and being able to hire people to "counter-protest", though maybe less than peaceably.

Just go ahead and fence them in, post a guard or two so they can't escape.
