    ALERT*** Zombie Outbreak Imminent...CONFIRMED...

Zombiologists have concluded that conditions will be higher for a potential outbreak of Zombism than at any other time in the previous year. Dr. Hugo Pecos stated that conditions will reach a zenith at the new moon on Oct. 26 and with an incubation period of 4-7 days we should look for signs of the first victims on or about Oct. 30-31.

Most susceptible will be very young children. Citizens are advised to be vigilant for roaming packs of the undead on or about those dates, especially packs of young children or teenagers who are most likely to be infected.

Be alert for the warning signs. Zombies can sense the living and will come to your door seeking entry to your home. Any roving packs of youth discovered at your door should be treated as a "likely threat."

Citizens are reminded that only by destroying the brain can you eliminate the threat a zombie poses. This is most effectively achieved by firearms and a head shot. Most citizens will have a difficult time terminating a zombie (especially those who used to be children or teens) but it must be done to prevent further spread of the contagion.

It is recommended citizens remain armed and ready to respond to zombie attacks until the full moon of November 10 when conditions will return to normal.

The FVZA will continue to monitor this situation and bring updates as they become available.

This might be the next popular shooting contest in the making. Just like Cowboy shoots became popular including nicknames and outfits. Now we'll have International Zombie Shoots with 12 action stages. Undead targets, gore painted firearms, etc. Might even have to mix the firearm stages with edged weapons sort of like Top Shots has done: tomahawk and knife throwing, maybe a bayonet charge, shovel swing, machete melee, etc.

Somebody is going to host a Zombie shoot and I bet it will be pretty dang popular.

If this catches on, Halloween might prove to be an extremely traumatic holiday this year.

That dude on the left looks like a creep; he better be real careful in an outbreak because he might get mistaken for a zombie mutant......

I can see zombie shoots becoming the next big "gun game." Only headshots count, set large numbers of targets on rails and have them move at varying speeds (to simulate different types of infected). You can have hand-to-hand stages in which some guys play the zekes and only certain strikes counts as a hit (sorta like fencing).

I love Zombies and Zombie preparedness. It is a great form of entertainment. I even use Zombie Apocalypse in reference to preparing for actual real life situations.

Sadly the joke is ruined by people who take this shit seriously.
We were talking about this during lunch at class on Saturday. There are really people out there who think that Zombies are going to rise up and eat us all.

I'd bunker down with these two.

one is odd and flashy and eye catching more than "normal" me.
the other is a big guy and i can out run him.

(NEVER go into the woods or swimming in the ocean if you are the slowest runner/swimmer of the group)

If Brownells sells ammo by the case and rise in machete sales then more power to them. (they are the first to remind that if your going to "stock up" don't forget cleaning supplies!!)

Visit Haiti or parts of Africa and you too will be convinced.

I'm not a video game guy, but I have been playing Dead Island lately.....so I'm a believer!

believer in the same sense as most of us, that things can and probably will get ugly in the next 3-5yrs if we stay on the same course. so it's bullets, antibiotics, food and water that I've been putting away here and there. No big purchases just when I go to the store about once a month I'll pick up 100rd of .223 or 50rd of .45/.40/9mm....if I have a friend going to mexico I'll give em some money for antibiotics ( various types), put away about 15 cases of water and reg. rotate the older cases with newer ones. bought some bulk rice, beans, and few cases of MREs. also put away salt, vit c, iron, aspirin, multi vit and that's about it. nothin ground breaking just enough to last 60-90days.....maybe a bit more.
