If I get a chance, I'll down load some rounds to the velocities we get at 600-700 yards and shoot them into the old water jug test.

    My bad brother.

My habit of rambling on about things, combined with the fact that it takes about 48hrs after a recent shooting session for my excitement level to return to normal always makes me leery that I might be off topic or contributing unwanted or unneeded discussion.

I got a sunny/63 degree/5mph wind/79% humidity opportunity in the morning...perfect conditions to both shoot and film in. I'm rather disappointed with how the results turned out last session in the video. I'm thinking I will dope the scope better, wait another 20min. or so prior to shooting, and make another attempt. This type of shooting is addictive to say the least. If anybody has any suggestions please feel free to submit them.

I recently got the suggestion to shoot into a slab of meat(something like turkey) at these long ranges, but the water jug test might be far easier to achieve than the meat test. I'd love to see those results for damn sure.

If I wanted to try this in the morning, how exactly would it be best to set this experiment up? As in what kinda jugs and how many of them would be best to use.

I usually shoot a gallon of water with a phone book to catch the bullet behind it. The Jello shooters probably find this to be crude, but it's given me good basic results.

Guys, I am planning out my 12.5" build right now.

    Milspec BCM Upper
    12.5" BCM SS Barrel
    Centurion Arms 10" Rail
TA31 ACOG (Its a spare I have lieing around)
    AAC 51T Blackout

How's that sound? My goal is to eventually turn it into what Trident's 10.5" MRP looks like as far as bipod, buttstock, etc.

Today I did that. Her response was that she has just gotten into pending dates from June 2011. Guess I have a bit to go.

Maybe somebody could shot at a chrono @ 700yds to confirm estimates.

I hate that moment when you realize you've just martyred your chronograph. Usually followed by saying "there's no way" over and over again. Yep, been there.

There has to be a way to hide it the expensive bits behind a steel target.
