    Suppressor option for this build?

Have a 12.5" LW CHF DD factory SBR with a 10" DD Lite rail ordered for the wife. Trying to get her into shooting as much as possible. Shes now saying she would love the idea of having a suppressor on her rifle.

What are my options as far as (quality) suppressors go?

Ive been reading up on suppressors some and the AAC M4-2000 seems like a good option. And many members here seem to be running it.

I did some research and found this thread.
    https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=80476

This member asked if he could run a AAC M4 on his 12.5 with 10" DD lite rail and he was told that a 10" handguard would be too long because the mount needs 2.5" of clear barrel behind the muzzle.

So I guess the AAC M4-2000 would be a no go on this build?

What other suppressor options are there for this setup?

The 2.5" clearance is for the SPR/M4 (reflex style), not M4-2000 (end mount) so it will work for your setup. If you want to use the SPR/M4 you would either get a 9" handguard or the MK18 RIS II which is 9.5".

My other choices would be the AAC SDN-6 or Surefire FA556-212 or Surefire MINI. I plan to get the MINI next year because of the attachment system, shorter length and lower weight, and preference of the muzzle device.

Have you heard a suppressor on an AR before? They are still pretty loud.

If you have a 7.62 rifle, or plan on having one in the future, I would suggest going with AAC's 762-SDN-6, simply because of the versatility of being able to switch platforms from 5.56 to 6.8 or 300 Blk or standard 7.62. I believe it needs approximately 1.56" of clearance so I think you may be ok with it.... just my opinion.

Per your request on my PM.

    11.5 and 12.5 with 10 inch rails with m4-2000's

I use the Double chamber Brake on the 11.5 because I run it suppressed all the time. And the Brakeout on the 12.5 because I pull the can off sometimes.
If you plan to pull the CAN off, get the Brakeout, because the double chamber BRAKE is a brain thumper even to the shooter. If your beside it- Brain damage.

I am happy enough with both my rigs.

I think you might put a wrench to that metal mania.

Thats the BCM 12.5 with Vltor upper, DD RISII, switched lowers in its birthing process. You painted that lower with that 14.5 Noveske barrel.

After I took that picture above I changed those ugly ****in panels on the 12.5 to those Larue clips. Much better.

Hey Gunz my Mini4 came in, now I just have to wait 24 months for a freakin stamp.
