I will NEVERspend adolor with PSA - not after how they've treated me, and not after they OBVIOUS and SERIOUS mistakes they make.

They offered triangle caps to anyone who preffered them on thier uppers, but when I asked for it they said it wasn't available yet and therefore they couldn't honor it. I then said that since I've waited two weeks for my upper, it's not done and you won't honor or make the change that you offerd here on M4CARBINE.NET for all the public to see, I'd like to cancel my order.

He said they'd have to charge me a 10% restocking fee...

... on something they never shipped or even ever left thier building...

    ...or even have completed.

Anyway you cut it, they ether lied about the offer or they lied about thier willingness to do it, and the "restocking fee", while legal, is of dubious moral conduct.

Couple this with thier unreachable customer service [I had to do everything throug e-mail because of this] and the VERY OBVIOUS and STRANGE errors they keep producing... I guess all in all the 10% was a cheap lesson learned.

I then spent my money with bravo company - it cost me an extra $100 [not counting my "restocking fee"]. No one will ever have any doubts about BCM.

Thank you for the post and the responses.

We at Palmetto State Armory take building AR's seriously and are conducting an investigation. We have QC in place to make sure all uppers are assembled correctly, and we record who makes what and when. There are 6 different checks in the QC process dealing with the gas tube, so the QC process was obviously ignored. When we ascertain who let these ship, they will be working elsewhere.

We believe there were only a few of these, but we ask that customers who have this issue contact customer service immediately to have a call tag issued. Customers with this issue will be compensated for the inconvenience with 5 free PSA D&H magazines.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Don't say I didn't warn you. First thread they made here I posted about their restocking fee. I can see it if you got something delivered, and then sent it back. You can place an order online, call a minute later, and they'll charge you a fee to cancel the order. Its more of an order cancellation fee than a restocking fee since they never boxed anything up and shipped the product.

My experience with PSA has been great. They're customer service, for me, has been excellent. When I ask a question, they answer it promptly, they're prices are outstanding and they ship quickly. I can't really ask for more than that.

Their AR specs are what knowledgeable users are asking for, so they are trying. Are they the new BCM or DD? Not enough time has passed to know either way. Get some rifles and uppers out there with some hard use, give it a couple of years and we'll see how it works itself out.

For my part, I have one of their uppers sitting on the shelf of my closet waiting for a lower. A couple of my armorer friends looked at it and said it looks fine. I'll order a BCM lower or an LMT or something in the next couple of months and go about running it and see for myself. I hope it turns out great, but for the $600.00 I spent on it, if doesn't work out the way I'm hoping, I'll live. IMHO, it was worth the gamble to try one.

I have a couple thousand through my DD and wouldn't call it 100% reliable. That sounds like Bushy or DPMS ad copy. How about reliable so far, or as pork chop said "only positives to report."
Perhaps I should have added that it was 100% reliable during my initial test firing? Which is what I meant and assumed everyone would understand I meant. Truth is, no firearm is 100% reliable forever, and we all know that.

Looks like the barrel ramps are not deep enough to transition into the Receiver Ramps. Seems like the bullet point could hang up...?

    But maybe it's just me...

Not one hang up, smooth cycle. Those pics are before I fired it.

I even fired some of those "varment grenade" bullets that have that aggressive HP and no problem, before I shot it I cycled five rounds manually and checked the rounds....no damage.

Even the finger rub...you can't feel it.

    Breadstick,
Can you post some pics of your Feed Ramps since you've fired it?

BTW - Excellent pictures. I'd be interested in seeing where the bullet points are striking the ramps.

    Thanks.

I admit to purchasing one of these. I couldn't pass up a FN CHF barrel and PRO. I usually buy from the company where I work, but I thought, HEY, why not, I can always sell the rifle if it's crap.

    I am worried now.

They told me it would ship last week after charging my credit card the week before. No shipping notice yet. Its been 2.5 weeks. Not a bad wait still, but it does concern me they charged my credit card and have not shipped it 2.5 weeks after they charged me.

I don't own any PSA uppers lowers or rifles. I probably never will as I have all I need. I don't like companies charging my card before they ship either. I think BCM has it right, no back orders. Some folks don't like that either but to each his own.

I'm curious though, with respect, do you think they are going to steal your money or something?
