Honestly though Bryon will sell the AAC SDN-6 for $899... I am thinking that will be the route I take - The AAC mount alone just makes it worth it. As for an additional $1150 after I get the thing in my hands to save 2" off the end of my barrel..... I am not sure.

Last I heard, the 762-SDN-6 was warranted down to 8" bbl for 5.56.

I was not impressed at all with the SDN-6 on an 8" Noveske 300BLK... it metered at 133.4 dB at the ear.

For comparison, an SWR Trident9 metered 132.1 dB at the ear on the same day 35 minutes later.

Ouch. Bryon's test really showed a huge disparity in the numbers from AAC's claims..... maybe I will just stick with my 762SD for my 300 Blackouts

    For real!!

I'm wishing SWR (or someone) would come out with a 51T Trident adapter. ~130 isn't that bad!!

I would be pissed if I got a 300BLK upper, ran the Trident until my stamp cleared on the SDN-6, and then found out it was louder! (which is probably what I would have done)

I'll get an SDN-6 some day anyway though.

AAC's comment of "Something's wrong with the silencer or meter." was kind of funny too, I thought.

I laughed at that too. I was like... well they could have just come right out and said Bryon was a liar but then he sells too many of their cans for that to happen!

I think Robert & Bryon need to get together at the next Silencer shoot with their little meters and just do a test run - a friendly scientific test with witnesses.

Added the fact that it is completely inconel it makes for a solid can. I am merely going to run my 762SD which is only inconel on the blast baffle for suppressing mine. I have personally seen folks using 9mm & 45cal suppressors on their 300 blackout while running subsonics... as for supersonics I think you need to stick with a 30 cal can like you are doing.

I however took an extra step and had a brakeout mount put on my Noveske 8" that is clearing a Form 4 as we speak for extra measure.

do you have enough bbl exposed to fix that can? oh I see you have the 762SD, not the 762SD-6, not sure how much overlap is needed for that one. I just ask because I am waiting on my AAC as well and trying to figure out what TRX rail is going to work best.

I just received this 9" AAC 300 Blackout upper w/ KAC URX 3 and I am looking forward to the F4 clearing on my 762-SDN-6 which will switch between this and my SCAR 17s. The fit and finish on this AAC upper is first class all the way.

    Cheers
