    New Colt 6450's are here!

Colt has removed the LE only writing on them and put the Rogers Super Stock the gun as well. Cerro forge mark on the lower is also on the lower.

Talking with Colt, these 9mm AR's are the most reliable they have ever made (as they have made some internal changes to the guns).

Those look good. (not a fan of the stock, but that's a good looking gun)

They do look good. The stock is a personal choice thing and we can switch that out for the standard one if people want.

    Grant,

I always go back and forth over a 6450 or a solid magwell 9mm AR. Any comments on the long-term reliability of the 6450 when compared to the integral magwell offerings?

    Thanks

    Chris

Will these be / are these available with flat top uppers? If not, I'm confused on what's going on inside the mind of Colt. Pretty sure I'd buy one just for the hell of it if it had a flat top. Thanks.

I'm far from an expert on these but my agency does use Colt SMGs and I've never heard of a problem with the magwell. The only problem I've seen is if you drop a loaded mag it tends to "unload" itself. We run them stock. Standard issue has a brass selector blocker that keeps them off burst, but our special teams still use the burst. I love the portability of their size and have seriously given thought to buying a 6450 and getting it short barreled so I can have my own version of what we use.

I'm kinda confused too... isn't the new 6450 supposed to be a flat top? http://www.colt.com/ColtLawEnforceme...ineGunSMG.aspx
