U.S. Embassy attacked in Bosnia (VIDEO)

Islamist wingnut fires shots on our embassy in Sarajevo. He walked around for a long time holding an AK before being shot by a police sniper in the leg and has been arrested. Article with videos here: http://www.businessinsider.com/saraj...bosnia-2011-10

Much easier to interrogate and get intel from a living person than a corpse.

At our FOB right in Baghdad (NW part) we could not engage anyone unless they were breaching the wall or already through the wall.

Sad to hear this- I was last in Sarajevo in '02 and remember seeing Saudi funded mosques being built on the outskirts of town. Sad to see the scourge of radical Islam rear it's ugly head in Bosnia.

What did we (and the US State Department) expect was going to happen? Did we think that by dropping a few bombs on some evil Serbs and handing over two small parcels of Europe to Muslim majorities we were going to win the favor of the extremists? We had the Kosovar attack on Airmen in Germany and now this. While the average secular Bosniak may be thankful to the US for its actions in the Balkans, the hardliners never will see us as anything but the infidel and while the GFAP called for the deportation of the Mujaheddin fighters from Bosnia, it has not been effectively enforced.

“The ruling class doesn’t care about public safety. Having made it very difficult for States and localities to police themselves, having left ordinary citizens with no choice but to protect themselves as best they can, they now try to take our guns away. In fact they blame us and our guns for crime. This is so wrong that it cannot be an honest mistake.” – former U.S. Sen. Malcolm Wallop (R-Wy.)
