    300 BLKOUT is NOT a legal deer round in Indiana out of a Rifle(doesnt meet the .357 minimum bullet diameter). Just make sure its on a pistol lower.

    6.8 might be a good pistol for you to use for that purpose also, got a bit more power than the .300.

    Ya know, it would be really retro-cool to hunt with an 1860 Henry replica in .45 Colt or .44-40. Hmm, I'm wondering if I might get one instead of a blackpowder rifle, especially as a teaching illustration aid for hunter education classes I teach.
