The Food Stamp Nation!

More proof of the utter incompetence of the Obama administration and Washington in general. Now a record 15% of Americans which is over 45 million people are on food stamps. In 2008 which was the last year of the Bush's presidency, 27 million people were on food stamps. So in less than three years of Obama, 18 million more people are on food stamps. How is that change working out!

If you add up all the people who put food on the table from government dollars the total is around ~45%. Government workers from the city up to the Federal level, military, prisoners, contractors, and all their dependents.



So we basically half the nation putting food on the other half's table.

We seize more vehicles that are worth twice my annual salary in front of shit hole crack houses. Nature of the beast I guess but it pisses me of to see them with their WIC and Lonestar Cards and food stamps and $50k hidden in a shoe box in the closet. Un-****ing-believable.

I think people should try to help the poor in order to make them self-sufficient but these freebies like this only encourage dependency.

Off the top of my head these are the services that the poor now receive.

Food Stamps
Welfare Payments or wealth transfer payments thru tax system
Free or govt subsidized phone service
subsidized internet
programs to help purchase a car
subsidized housing
free healthcare
subsidized or free childcare
free college
free diapers (legislation in the senate, http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-actio...ng-for-diapers)

I would bet that the sum of these programs allow for a middle class lifestyle.
