Besides the fact the muzzle device/contour is $120, the fact the suppressor itself is $450, the great things I've heard about reliability, the fact ADCO is 1 hour north of me, the fact that OPS and ADCO are very easy to work with, and that a similar package from AAC would run me around $1,230 ($180 mount + $1050)? Gee....no idea

Seriously though...I don't expect the M4-M to suppress 'as good as' the M42000, but I'm paying 57% less for the OPS can. Or I could get the mini, which I'm guessing is probably on the same suppression level as the M4-M, but is still almost twice as much. The mounting with the AAC is quicker I suppose but this will be run suppressed 80-90% of the time so mounting and shift really aren't a factor in my decision.

Are you planning to run your can hard? Most guys I shoot with who have the M4-2000, would really be just fine with the M4-1000.

I have two of them. Not sure what the 1000 prices out currently though.

Yeah it'll be run hard. This will be, God willing, part of the setup I take to training/classes. I've thought about the 1000...dealers around here have them for $625 or so. But it's 1.7" longer and 2.7oz heavier than the M4-M and and still more $ so I didn't see the advantage.

Popping my cherry on suppressors right now so if there's something I'm missing, I'd love to hear it. Although it may sound like it, my mind's not made up...but considering the price and size of the M, I can't see spending $2-500 more on something bigger/heavier.

I hear you.... I'm still leaning towards the notion that you get what you pay for. And you plan to run this thing pretty hard....

I baby my cans for the most part. So I could get away with owning a Gemtech in all likelyhood.

I usually subscribe to that, and the "too good to be true...it usually is" adage. Try as I might, can't find a negative review about them though. I wonder if not advertising really saves them enough to where their prices are this low?

I looked at AACs lineup first...but I'm a cheap bastard

I'm cheap too. But when it comes to tax stamp items... they're too much hastle and wait time with the idiots at ATF to not get the can you want.

Definitely agree! That's why I'm looking for more input. Hopefully the_accuser will get his soon and can post us a review!

I'm just kidding. I've heard Gemtech's rifle cans aren't that bad.

Now their pistol cans I can speak about with first hand experience. And they are complete SHIT!

I would venture to say that all popular silencer manufactures make decent products. As for rifle cans I only have ones from Ops Inc. I started out with the 15th years ago and sort of just went crazy collecting the others. I'm just an average joe and don't really need silencers...I just really like them. My next can will either be an M4-2000 or the AAC mini4. I know some of the other manufactures make some good stuff but for me I really just like the ones that are a little more compact and have the least amount of weight. I'm know Surefire makes a great product but damn their stuff is expensive.
