Something to think about, You said you were going to run this hard. The AAC M4-2000 and Mini 4 are all Inconel and the M4-1000 has an Inconel blast baffel. Unless the M4-M is different, OPS cans are all 300 series stainless. The Inconel will out last the stainless. Especially on an SBR. Also, I don't know were you saw AAC mounts for $180. You can get the Break on Midway for $142.

I forget where I saw them for that much, thanks for the heads up.

I wasn't that worried about internals since I've heard they're warrantied on any barrel and Ron will rebuild anything an issue. That and the fact I haven't heard about any issues.

I have never herd of an issue either. I would like to have one for my SPR/Mk12. I have seen some guys get significant wear on their blast baffle on an M4-2000 with a 10.5" barrel. The Break really reduces that. I am running a Breakout with my M42K and it has quite a bit of erosion, but the blast baffle is fine. A 12" barrel won't have quite as much blast, but a SS blast baffle will wear faster. I am not trying to push you to AAC, I am just thinking out loud. For me, when it comes to suppressors I won't skimp. These are life time purchases for me.

Good point for someone with NO or VERY LITTLE suppressor experience.

A welding glove or better BBQ glove works well for extended range sessions if you worry about your can backing off if your threading is sloppy and loose.

I don't know where you guys are buying your AAC mounts but, that seems high to me. The last M.I.T.E.R. Mount I bought was $125.

Oh, the brakes versus regualar mounts .....

Right on man I get what you're saying. It definitely is a lifetime purchase for me too...if I'm covered by a lifetime warranty, which I believe OPS has, I'm fine with that.

If you're seriously considering OPS, call Steve at ADCO and ask him to make you a deal on cans, mounts and profiling. I'm sure you can work something out.

The major advantage of OPS over most other products is the common mounting system between the M4S through the 16th model. SureFire has something similar, and AAC is a moderator away from it as well, but their prices on the little cans are too high. I can buy a a half dozen M4S's for the price of a Surefire Micro (tax not included).

If you want to save money on mounts, use the A1 birdcage or the SEI OPS Vortex.

The disadvantages of OPS are the back over the barrel design requiring space, the weight, the cost of mounting on anything but certain barrels, the 316 SS (though OPS last a long time anyway), and they are more difficult to mount on lightweight barrels.

I have an M4s on the way and will get an M4M or 14th model, then a 16th model to match. I also am selling my FA556AR surefire and replacing it with a muzzle mount surefire. I will use SF on SBRs, lightweights and 7.62s, and OPS on my 17" dissipator, bolt gun and SPR.

Hope it's OK to bump this up. I believe accuser was waiting on an M4M, if he or anyone else has some firsthand thoughts I'm sure we could all benefit from hearing them.

I just stared another thread but I'll bump this to hear any updates on the M4m. Adco has them in stock.

Hey guys, I finally got my paperwork back on the M4M and had a chance to try it out last weekend. I cannot tell a difference in the sound reduction between the M4M, 14th and 15th models but that is just me.

My M4M measures 6" OAL and my 14th is 6.25" OAL. If I were on the fence as to which of those three models to buy it is a no brainer to get the M4M due to the cost.
