Yes, I did. Guy set the safety, pulled trigger to remove some of creep, released trigger, released safety, then fired. Then set safety at 45 degrees, pulled trigger to remove most of the creep, released trigger, released safety, then fired. Not a big deal when taking a shot at steel or a coyote or something similar. Not good when kicking down doors to shoot badguys in the face.

It's not a big deal, folks. I do thinks it's a gimmick and a silly one at that, but no more "full retard" than taking up the first stage of my Geisselle. (Ok, in fairness, if I had this trigger I'd worry the safety would fail someday, so I have to give you that.)

I admit to a caveat. I haven't tried this thing either. My point is that we lose our professional demeanor when we run something down like this. It's much like someone asserting their off-brand AR is good to go before firing a single shot

Not bashing you or sticking up for this darwin award winning trigger, but I thought your comment was interesting and made me reflect upon the first time I heard of "nightforce" scopes... my initial impression was mall ninja sniper gear... just a humorous observation

Any updates to the opinions on the hiperfire? It seems these are really catching on with the 3 gun competition crowd now with the new "24C" version.

What does it do that a Geissele won't, lets not forget they add 2 extra springs and 2 extra parts to an already simple FCG system.

All this for a gun meant for combat use?

Yes, and "Surefire" and "Advanced Armament" and "Bravo Company" and "Gunfighter this and that" and...

Yeah, if you stop and think about it, there are a lot of names that sound really chintzy if you look at them from a perspective of the unknown reputation, and think of how you would react to hearing the name knowing NOTHING but the name.

I think that's the beauty of it though. The platform may have originally been designed with combat as it's primary goal, but it has definitely morphed into much more than that. I think that is an awesome thing and in my opinion, good from the perspective of them being more widely accepted by society. I think more people probably own an AR platform rifle now than ever before. Their use, as a result has branched out from their original mission. Aside from the 1911 maybe, I don't think many other platforms have so many choices of aftermarket parts and support. Sure, there is a lot of "Mall Ninja" stuff out there, but since there is so much out there we have choices and can ignore the ridiculous stuff. Competition shooting with ARs is very popular right now, especially in 3-Gun, tactical rifle matches, etc... If it brings more support and popularity to AR's, I'm all for it. Who knows, competition use may result in development of some new equipment or innovations that could possibly transfer over and be useful in combat as well. I just think the more people that have them and use them in responsible ways only helps normalize them more and thats a good thing. All that being said, I wouldn't mind trying one of the Hiperfire 24C triggers out in my AR for competition. However, for my 6920, that is more for defensive purposes, probably will pass for now.

I will be ordering 1 at the end of the month. My buddy has 3 or 4 on his 3 gun rifles. I like the trigger. I have played with a lot of different ar platforms and this trigger was real crisp, with very little try travel. After pulling the trigger I was sold.

Thanks, FINALLY a first hand experience rather than just pre-judgement based on how many extra parts it has, or the name of the product. Experience goes a long way.

Drarmament, I and many others here would appreciate a more detailed review, if possible. I appreciate your input, but need something of substance. You can't just jump in the middle of this bar fight and say "nu-uh!."
"We must surrender our attachments to government in every aspect of life. This goes for the right and the left. We need to give up our dependencies on the state, materially and spiritually. We should not look to the state to provide for us financially or psychologically.... Let us understand that it is far better to live in an imperfect world than it is to live in a despotic world ruled by people who lord over us through force and intimidation. - Dr. Ron Paul
