I'm interested in one for shooting surplus 5.45. so far I've been limited by the extra power hammer springs required to ignite these hard primers, which leaves something to be desired especially after shooting a geissele or KAC 2 stage. if this trigger can ignite the surplus ammo and allow a lighter trigger pull I'd be interested.

I'm also worried at the same time though, because the quantity of 5.45 I shoot makes for a really dirty gun and FCG

I am installing a 24c in a dedicated 18" 3 gun build. I have ran most aftermarket triggers with my favorite being the Wilson Combat singlestage TTU. I have that I ordered at 3lbs and one at the stock 4lbs. To me, they are perfect, zero creep, clean break, no over travel and and instant and positive reset.
Anxious to see how the Hyperfire works. A buddy is a shooter for Adams Arms and they spec the 24c in their comp gun. He likes it and reports no issues.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I didn't feel it would be best to make a new one as there is a lot of good discussion here. For an update on the 24 series, still going strong, several thousand rounds in my comp gun with no issues. We also have a few other guys on the team running them, again no issues and they ignite every ammo type we've been able to find.

As far as in a duty gun, I would still say the 24 series isn't optimal for a duty trigger. However, Hyperfine did just release a new trigger for that role called the EDT, Enhanced Duty Trigger. I was able to review one and am very impressed. It will be riding in my patrol rifle. Currently I have about 700 rounds through it, no issues. At the time I did the video review it was 300 rounds or so. All in all, for a patrol/duty/HD rifle that you are looking for a great single stage trigger check out the EDT. For under $100 I am very impressed.

Here is my video review, grab a beverage and a comfortable chair as I talk a lot :-)

    Thanks

I've been using an extra power hammer spring on a SD-C trigger for many thousands of round of surplus 5.45 and the change in trigger pull was roughly +1/2 pound with no discernible difference in the quality of the trigger break.

Dave, Just finished viewing your video about the EDT. Excellent presentation all around. I like how you started with describing the features including why certain components were designed/made differently from their mil-spec counterparts. The camera work on the installation of the FCG was very good. And providing video of the EDT in operation and verification of the different trigger pull weights was greatly appreciated. The video never felt too long at all. I was wanting more! Amazing how time flies when the subject matter is presented in a professional manner.

Though I've been using and am very satisfied with ALG-QMS triggers for the past year. If I ever need to replace or do a new build, I will definitely check out the EDT. Continued success to you and your company. Best regards. 3 AE

Looks like something to keep an eye on. May not be my first choice for a duty gun but defiantly an option for "the other rifles". Good video by the way.

I talk about it a little in my video when I first got some 24 series triggers. The 24 series are all lighter and crisper than the EDT. I tried the 24, E and 3G (when it was called the T) and liked them but had reservations about using them on duty guns. With the 24's when the weight threshold is crossed they break, yes I know all triggers do that but with the 24s there isn't much take up. I prefer a duty gun to have some take up which is why I like the EDT or the great triggers from Geissele as there is the first stage to take up. The 24 line is a really nice line up of triggers and if you like less take up/creep then you'd probably prefere the 24 or 24E over the EDT. If you like the feel of mil spec type trigger but want a lighter, consistant weight and break then the EDT is for you.
