Taper pin...I noticed that as well. Do you have any recommendations on fixing that?
I'd try an H2 and an H3 to mellow the cycle.

Not sure there's anything to fix on the taper pin. I've banged out Colt pins before and they're convex on both ends. Just curious that it looks flat and shiney.

Meaning, if this 10.5 doesn't run on PPU M193 and runs intermittently on TAP, wouldn't the LMT 10.5 have the same issues?
No. It might. But those LMT 10.5s are known for reliability. I'd certainly forget PRIV ammo... and START with an appropriate buffer.

Not necessarily. My LMT 10.5"(with standard A2 FH) upper runs anything if feed it. I use a SpringCo "Red" spring and an H2 buffer with zero issues. It doesn't like an H3 at all.

What are your thoughts about this...

    H2 buffer, Springco blue spring?

That spring should be fine assuming the H2 fixes the problem. I have some Blue springs in some of my guns with longer barrels but they also have H Buffers. I don't think the spring matters as much as the buffer in this case.
Shorter barrels can definitely be a bitch sometimes.

Introducing homo springs before you have the gun reliable on standard parts isn't a good idea. If I have a gun that needs a rainbow fruit flavor spring to run... that's NOT acceptable.

    just my opinion.

On a side note...do you have any recommendations for an alternate M193? I was thinking IMI M193...
IMI is great for your 193. I'd also like to see it run fine with AE223. That's a decent, REAL .223 load.
