I do not have any more info on that weapon, manaufacturer, model, caliber. I will ask around and see if I can uncover these.

For a bit of background: This is Rio State police, with help from the Navy (Brazilian Marines are subordinate to the Navy), Army, Federal Police (sort of FBI), Federal Highway Police.
The guys in black with the skull patch are from BOPE (featured in the Elite Squad movie) and the guys in gray/blue camo are from Batalhão de Choque (shock battalion).
Have seized the biggest slum in Latin America. So far, 69 rifles were aprehended, lots of FALs, some AR pattern (not sure of provenance)
dozens of pistols, ammo, greandes and a minute amount of drugs.
Be aware that a civilian here cannot, barring very special and expensive exceptions, have any modern rifle in 5.56 or 7.62 or any other decent caliber.
This operation was advertised at least a week ago, so the sharks had time to swim away and hide. How come the governor wants to publicize that he is making Rio more safe if he hasn't put massive amounts of criminals behind bars?
