    Leupold MR/T 2.5-8 any info?

I was thinking about one of these optics for a M1A Scout. Any feedback?
If you aren't armed when you take a dump in your own home then your opinion on what is a practical daily carry weapon isn't interesting to me.

I've had one for over a year. Just about the perfect optic for that rifle. Eye relief is much better than their 3-9 MR/T. I recommend the M2 variety with the 1/2MOA turrets. Illuminated TMR reticle.

Can you explain what you mean by "better" eye relief.

It's time that I put a scope on my SDI 16" mid-length, and am pretty sure I'll be getting either a MR/T 2.5-8 or 3-9 w/ Illuminated TMR reticle. I've been looking at an optics picture thread on TOS and trying to determine if I should get the regular or extended eye relief LT SPR or AD Recon type mount. It appears that most, if not all, (your picture included) of the setups have the eyepiece even with the charging handle. Doesn't this put the end of the eyepiece much less than the 3 to 3.7 inches of eye relief required for the 2.5-8 MR/T scope? What's the best setup?
