I bought a Colt barrel assembly from Clyde armory (one of the ones used in an armorers course) and while inspecting it I noticed the FSB pins weren't drove in the whole way. This has got me thinking that the FSB was likely removed multiple times during the courses and I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to get some new pins. I'm planning on replacing the barrel nut as it is (the teeth are really chewed up), so I wanted to ask if replacing the pins would be a good idea.
I would have never bought one of these barrels for the price they were selling them for.
You could have bought a new barrel for just a bit more.
IMHO, these barrels are worth $100 or less.
