I'm very interested to hear what barrel and setup your thinking on right now. While I'm a huge believer in the very unique proprietary Mike Rock MRP barrels, I cannot salute DBMG enough for what they have done for the MRP/MWS.

Just for reference in the pic above, the barrel I'm running is a 10.5". Your looking at needing a 9 3/4" barrel at the bare minimum on the CQB chassis.

Thanks for your help Trident in this MRP stuff. So the million dollar question remains...will a 10" barrel accept a AAC 18t mount for a 7.62sd?

Thanks alot! Been wondering how long the rail would be and was always trying to visualize it.

Hopefully next year I'll be able to get the MRP rifle length. Torn between the MRP and the LaRue Predatar.

    My pleasure gents

A fellow member..dudshep31 has a badass MRP CQB 10.5" with an AAC M42K. These pics might help you out considering the SDN-6 and M42K should attach the same way.

This last pic should really help as long as Jason or AAC can confirm that both the SDN-6 and M42K mount the same way...

Trying to determine the shortest barrel I can squezze in there after a conversion of a standard barrel to mrp.

Did you end up getting the barrel converted? If so, by who and how much length did it add? I am trying to answer the same question.

I am looking at getting a Noveske barrel for an SBR with the Switchblock for use with a surppressor. I was told that there is no advantage to a piston when running suppressed. Anyone have any experience with the LMT 12" piston barrel suppressed?

It's generally accepted that a piston is good if it meets 2/3:
    1)F/A
    2)SBR
    3)Suppressed

If you get the 12" piston kit for the MRP, there should be 2 settings for it; Fire and Suppressed. Otherwise, I think you're going to spend a lot of money to have a SB'ed barrel converted over to an MRP.

I use the 12" piston for my MRP. It's a little heavy out front with my can but not undoable.
