Tactical Rifle Packages

Hello all,

Does anyone know of companies that sell tactical rifle packages similar to what they do at sniper central?

Reputable companies like GA precision, Surgeon, DTA, Underground Skunkworks / BlackOps Precision, etc. will make you a custom package with optics, rings, bipod, etc. Look at these companies websites, do some forum research (here and snipers hide), then contact the manufactures to get pricing once you have the specifics on your desired package.

Understand that this is probably the most expensive way to acquire a precision weapon. Be prepared to spend north of $4K for weapon and glass.

Why do you want a package?

Do you think you'll get a better deal? Want one person responsible for if there are problems? Not sure what you want and need some guidance?

I can never find a package that has what I want, so I always have to 'order on the side'.

I'd just go with a reputable gunsmith/dealer and work with them about what you want. A local one might be best to save on shipping and being able to work directly with them. I'd first figure out my overall budget and then what you want to divy between the action, stock, optics and accessories (rear bag, bipod, etc.). That will largely dictate what you are going to be able to buy and then what you want to shoot it for will dictate the particulars.

You can go from a stock 700 rifle Harris bipod and a Super Sniper scope all the way to an AI AW, Atlas bipod and monopod, and S&B scope. $1000 or $10,000.

My friend Len sells a package. If you want a turn key why not buy a used gun or a bone stock rem 700 pss?

For an entry-level precision rifle, it is really hard to beat Mel's packages at Sniper Central without going to a much more expensive custom maker such as GAP. Mel has plenty of options for the build and if you don't see what you want just send him an email and he will likely be able to do it and send you a quote.

I like Mel's package, but the lead times are longer than I'd like to wait. I have a Tikka T3 Lite, but the stock is too light for me and I'd like to have a heavier tactical stock on a Rem 700. I know I could probably build one, but I don't have the time, tools or tolerance for such a project. I know I'll be paying up a little more than if i did it myself, but I'm fine with that.

I'm going to check the sites suggested by you guys, but basically looking for something not too expensive, just like what Mel is offering but without having to do all the legwork (take delivery, ship back the rifle etc) and also something I can get within a month or so.

Appreciate the info. If you guys can think of anything else, I'm all ears.
