For me personally I find the QD stops handy on the front end of the rifle/carbine, on the back end it doesn't matter to me. I usually use a Noveske or DD end plate at the receiver anyway. When I do hook my sling to the back end of the stock I hook it to the right side to keep the sling from coming across my neck when switching the stock to my left shoulder.
If only all felt like you. Most shooters I deal with run some type of plate by the receiver instead of attaching the sling at the stock.
That being said, I understand my bubble is fairly small.
