Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.
I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

I'm thinking the QD socket on the ACS-L may work better than the optional one on the ACS - I seem to recall rotational/positional issues when I tried adding a QD to my first ACS, the battery tube interfered with the QD loop. (Not a big deal for me, I use Noveske end plates for slinging.)

First time posting, long time lurking.
After months of research on this great site I finally found and purchased a like-new LMT Defender 2000 at a really good price.
Hopefully I will have a STR on it by Christmas![]()

Realization/Goal for me, average civilian shooter: Spend at least 5 hours dry firing, drills, shooting, getting proper live instruction for every 1 hour spent surfing forums about equipment set up.

Possible to get a shot of the ACS next to the STR?
Go up on this page, post #107. ACS width is 2.58", and tubes are wide enough to hold batteries. ACS-L is slightly narrower, 2.28" IIRC after looking Magpul's specs on their website. And then you can see the the STR is just like a ACS from what I can tell., with battery storage capability. And then the CTR is like an A2 I suppose, the narrowest yet. It just depends on your bone and cheek stucture and which type of cheekweld you prefer. But Magpul has three widths covered, they're like the Glock Gen 4 of AR stocks.
