Welp, that ****ing rocks. I'm about 90% sure this is what I'll end up getting on my primary AR when I get home and start monkeywrenching around with the upgrades.

Thanks for the prompt and informative reply!

This is a prototype that I'm working with, and while its totally functional, I'm not going to pull the storage caps as I'm not 100% certain they are the same as the production model will be. If I post pics and its different, the wrong shots will be floating around forever confusing people and making them complain. Hopefully that makes some sense, and I know you wouldn't be the person crying if minor changes were made.

I completely understand where you are coming from and that you would need Magpul's permission first, but what if you overlayed "pre-production" all over it.

Its just not worth it, people complain about too much. I'm guessing I'll have functional units in hand soon, and I'll show all the different angles at that time.

The new stocks are on Magpul's website.

    ACS-L Stock:
    http://store.magpul.com/product/160/170

    STR Stock:
    http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG470/171

The ACS-L is listed as .78 pounds, which would be 12.5 ounces. The normal ACS is listed at .89 pounds, which is 14.25 ounces. Now the weight of the standard ACS doesn't include the QD cup (but that tiny piece of metal can't weigh much of anything) and the ACS-L does, but even so, that only amounts to around 2-2.5 ounces difference at most between the two stocks. That doesn't get me very excited. The $99 price tag is nice, but I won't be replacing an ACS for an ACS-L.

The STR doesn't have weight listed. I'll have to wait and see on that one.

Someone mentioned cheek weld, I asked a question if that RRA product was almost the same, Skippy. Sorry for pissing in your Cheerio's. Reading is a skill.
