I dont want to hear "more expensive"

I often see so many nobs on this site that come to justify there DPMS or other "mil spec, just as good as.." AR-15 that was "for far less money". I can say today after getting back from my local Sportsmans Warehouse, these comments need to be put to bed. They just placed on sale today a Colt 6920 with a complete Magpul furniture outfit including butt stock for $1099. A Bushmaster carbine next to it was $100 cheaper.

I thought to myself there is no reason for "I dont want to spend the extra money".

    Crazy.

Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -- Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998

I wish that was the case locally.
I see BMs, DPMS, Armalite, RRA, ect. for around the 1200/1300 range and colts around 15/2000. Its ridiculous the way they up charge that shit in NY.
Needless to say No ones buying the quality rifles.
One guy tried arguing with me that bushmaster was the absolute best and the Mil doesn't use them because they're to expensive. And the other place (who caries colt) tried to convince me not to order my Noveske threw them and just buy the RRAs they have because Rock River has the best customer service in the industry.
He also refers to Spikes/LMT as "Who-ers" Whores Brooklyn style apparently.

What's worse to me is those that "don't want to spend the extra money", yet they put ACOG's/Aimpoints in Larue mounts along with Larue or Danil Defense rails on a cheap AR.

How does that even make sense?? I see M16A4 "clones" all of the time that use ACOG's and a KAC rail, but it's on a Del Ton kit or something. Your saving $200 on the rifle, yet you're adding a $1000 worth of gear.

Ill admit my first AR used a JSE upper and an Armalite LPK. I then used a DPMS LPK on my SBR and it is making me sick.

I think its because the Upper,Lower,Barrel,Internals all look the same. They just spend the extra on the tacticool look. Albeit with expensive shit

I came across this atrocity on a local EE. Couldn't believe the price.

"I know, lemme put a crappy rifle together and then sell it for double retail!"

There are people out there who believe cheaper is better. I could name names.......

As for cgcoons, he is either wildly optimistic or badly misinformed.
