    Bedding the rem7 Hundos-Done Right

Markus Maximus and I bedded our Remmys. I did all the work, Mark just watched me perform the miracle on 8th street.

I was a little unhappy it wasn't smoother....just bullshitting..we had a PRO, ex McMillian custom Gunsmith dial them in. I had the good fortune to watch him clean mine up after the impression, it was just art work. The Receivers don't budge, even before screwing them together.
The pics don't do the work justice, but I thought it might help some "do it your selfers" get an idea of what anothers work looks like. Cant wait to shoot them.

Yeah, that's a bedding job alright!

It's a rare talent to be able to make them consistently turn out like that.

The two silver lines show the two tracks the where the reciever used to lay. And slide back and forth when I shot. Which demonstrates how perfectly he filled it in. Also, when he trimmed the sides down, he found imperfections in the stock as he true'd up the sides. I may try to take some pics of the side of the bedding of entire rifle, so you can see- No side to side movement.

I'm glad you guys are impressed, because I have no experience to judge it, even though you can tell when something looks and feels perfect.

That really does look nice. Is that DevCon? Or MarineTex?

I am a newb when it comes to good bolt guns, and am looking into bedding.

Are there any pointers or tips you can share with us? How long to you have to wait before you can bolt the action back in and shoot?

Thanks for the photos as well, I appreciate it.

I'd like to see a pic of the rear tang when the action is mounted up in the stock... if you've got one handy.

You can shoot it when you pick it up from the guy.
